In 2017, CNP Water successfully completed a raw effluent balance tank offgas treatment project. The coarse bubble aeration in the raw effluent balance tank has been removed. An energy efficient submersible mixer has been used to mix the liquid content in the balance tank.
The offgas from the covered balance tank is firstly treated in a woodchip biofilter. The offgas from the biofilter is further polished by a carbon filter. It has been two years since the completion of this project. The covered biofilter has performed very stable over the seasons. The carbon media has been functioning very well for more then two years.
