Jianping has extensive expertise on developing water technologies. Jianping studied water/wastewater treatment for his BE and MEng degrees from Tsinghua University, the no. 1 tech university in China (ranking at 26th best universities in the world by Times Higher Education). He got his PhD degree on environmental engineering from National University of Ireland, Galway in March 2011. He has co-published over ten peer-reviewed journal papers.
